Stratford Festival Studio Theatre

34 George Street East, Stratford, ON

The Studio is the Festival's small room, a short walk from the Avon. One hundred and eighty-five seats, and the slope is the whole story. The Festival's own line: except for wheelchair seating, you enter by steps leading up from stage level, and the back rows are a challenge if mobility is limited.

Accessibility

Wheelchair seating is at stage level. Every other seat is up the steps. If stairs are hard, do not buy a back-row ticket and hope. Ask the box office before you pay.

Seating, without the chart

  • The room is small, so a higher seat is still close. You are paying for the climb, not for distance.
  • There is no bargain balcony. There is a steep rake. Hold the rail.
  • Best-value, in a house this size, is any seat you can reach comfortably. A cheap seat you cannot climb is not a value.
  • Sightlines are intimate. Side seats still turn you toward a profile on a thrust.
  • We do not reproduce the seating chart.

Best seat for your budget

The Studio has a steep rake. Note that for anyone who finds stairs or a sloped aisle difficult. Sit only where you can get out comfortably.

Festival discount zones: Play On covers Bravo, B, A and A+. Rush is not sold in the Globe Ring, Founders' Row, Spotlight or Bravo zones. The prices and the 2027 terms are on Ways to save. Those zones are Festival tickets, not a price list for every room in town.
